Here's what I believe:

- As a potential juror: video playback is for contested sports calls, not murder cases that haven't even seated a jury yet.

- As someone with a loved one who prosecutes violent crimes: willfully watching a recording of a violent act for any other reason than executing your sworn duty is not only a desecration of the victim, but a deliberate injury to your own psyche.

- As a middle-aged white lady: Tyre, and so many others before him, deserved better.

Wow, a low-key experiment during a sick day: I spent 10 minutes converting a 3d printable lens cover for the instax Evo to be a press on holder for the tiny powerful lens I got mistakenly. The small lens on the Evo already had very close focusing, and now can focus even closer at higher magnification. Some really quick tests looking at textures in my garden in winter!!!

Hey #honkers, I've seen an ActivityPub diagram that shows which services interact (well?) with which others in the #fediverse. Has anyone tried mapping that out with the #honkiverse? I just tried #pixelfed and failed. No luck, or random tough luck?

@annbgelder I like helpful. It implies the effort was being done with a beneficial purpose that may not have been selfish or financial.

But, if you're single and you're feeling good because you got the dishes and laundry done, what is that? There is no product, no other being helped. Makes me start to think about how other cultures perceive work, capitalist or not. Or how young people might see it.

@cunningpike Now you need to figure out how to tie the domain renewal and GKE fees into the same tip jar so it all self-feeds. Set an alert if it gets too low, or high enough to start a non-profit. 😉

Not that I love ads, but it just occurred to me that someone could set up an instance and feed it ads via bot that only posted when the tip jar wasn't going to make the rent.
